Invention Convention teaches students creative problem solving through the process of invention. Students are asked to identify a unique problem in their world, build a solution to that problem, chronicle their journey to a successful solution, and present their invention to their peers and judges. Traditionally, Invention Convention is taught in a variety of settings including in school, as an after-school program, in a home schooling environment, in makerspaces, and invention clubs just to name a few.
At Home Innovation is about bringing this tremendous program, which serves more than 100,000 inventors annually, directly to your home. Your child will identify a problem they care about and invent a solution all on their own. They'll compete with their fair chance to win an invitation to State Finals, US Nationals, and even a variety of Global competitions. If you believe in the creative spirit of your child, and that they have the potential to solve the problems in their own lives, then Invention Convention is for you (and them!).
At Home Innovation doesn't just mean in your house - it means in your family. Your support will be instrumental to your child's, and we guarantee they'll come to you for your advice. That's not a bug; it's a feature, and it's a critical component of Invention Convention.
Without your care and attention, we know that many inventors would not complete this unique process which promotes creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
